Ermer & Brownell, PLLC manages the legal counsel panel for Wright & Company’s (“W&C”) Federal Employees Professional Liability Insurance Program Counsel. Our panel includes attorneys with exceptional expertise in a wide range of areas affecting federal employment. Our panel’s experience on the "inside" as former Assistant U.S. Attorneys, members of the military, counsel to federal agencies, and law enforcement agents assures them a unique understanding of the federal work place.

Utilizing industry best practices, we work closely with W&C and its insurer, the Hudson Insurance Group, a world leader in developing programs for professional defense litigation services. Drawing upon codes of W&C program experience, we recently implemented several legal service program enhancements to assure the highest standards of excellence.

In addition to providing top notch legal defense services, we know that our mission includes assisting our clients in evaluating their options. We respect all federal employees, and we understand our that legal defense services must facilitate federal employment career goals. We recognize that a claim in this program usually arises out of very difficult circumstances and that the “best” defense must take into account agency politics, work place personnel, and collateral employment/retirement options. We help our clients analyze their options and the potential consequences of those options, both globally and in the context of the specific claim. We guide our clients in making a decision: aggressive defense against an adverse action or negotiation for a compromised resolution.
